Recognizes North Atlanta National Bank
For Excellence in Customer and Community Service

For the second consecutive year, North Atlanta National Bank was selected as a finalist for The Community Bankers Association of Georgia (CBA) 2002 Quality Service Award & Georgia's Community Bank of the Year.

The award highlights Georgia's community banks' commitment to excellence through superior quality service. A winning community bank is chosen on the basis of clear quality standards that are built into the bank's operations, exemplified by well-trained employees and conveyed to the public. CBA is the third largest association in the nation with more than 330 member community banks. All CBA member banks were eligible to compete for the award.

North Atlanta National Bank was one of four finalists competing for this prestigious award. "Being named as a finalist for this award two years in a row is quite an honor," said Jimmy Walker, Chairman & CEO of North Atlanta National Bank. "There are many community banks in the state that have been around longer than we have who also do an outstanding job in servicing their customers. We will be celebrating our fourth anniversary this November, and it is unprecedented that a bank as young as ours reach the finalist stage two consecutive years."

Under the direction of Assistant Vice President Ashley Walker, the bank submitted an application that included a notebook documenting its customer service efforts and community involvement. A panel of judges from across the state reviewed the applications for the most qualified applicants and chose North Atlanta National Bank and three other finalists. "Mystery shoppers" visited each of the finalists. The notes from their visits were submitted to the judge's panel for final review.

Walker expressed his appreciation for the staff, which made this recognition possible. "When we opened our doors four years ago, we set out to exceed our customers' expectations in every facet of our services. Our staff is dedicated to providing the highest levels of service to our customers. The finalists and winner were recently announced at the CBA's 34th Annual Convention and Trade Show in Cancun, Mexico. The Patterson Bank in Waycross was announced as this year's winner.
