About Us
North Atlanta Bank – Our History
North Atlanta Bank was founded as North Atlanta National Bank. Starting
out with a staff of five in a temporary office located in a strip shopping
center, we opened the doors of our permanent home in 1998.
North Atlanta National Bank was established on the bedrock beliefs
that a bank should have a genuine commitment to serving the financial
needs of its community, should always do business “the right way” to
remain safe and sound, and should work hard to earn its place as a
good corporate citizen. We chose a motto that distilled these founding
principles to their essence: “Service. Soundness. Community.”
During our first decade, we have grown along with many of our clients,
including some of those who were standing at the door when we opened
for business. We have operated with safety and soundness. We have consistently
donated our time and personal effort, and sponsored worthy community
organizations and causes.
In 2007, North Atlanta National Bank entered into an agreement to
be purchased by Shinhan
Bank America. Headquartered in New York, Shinhan Bank America
is a part of a large international banking company. After the purchase
was completed, we began operating as North Atlanta Bank, a division
of Shinhan Bank America.
We remain, at heart, your community bank. Our staff remains committed
to the high level of professional service to which our customers have
become accustomed. When you visit the bank, you will see friendly faces
and receive the same attentive, helpful service. We have always believed
that our customers bank with people, and not an institution; so even
though our ownership changed, our bedrock principles have not. Our
commitment to serving our customers and our communities remains steadfast.
